Firefox- It needs an add-on like Blocksite to block a website which you can find at Mozilla.org. First go to ‘Tools’ from the browser page, then select ‘Add-ons’ after that click ‘Browse All Add-ones’ finally install the add-on and type blocksite inside the search bar. This will block the website that you have typed.

Google Chrome- After opening the Chrome browser click the ‘wrench symbol’ in the right corner of the upper side. Select ‘tools’ then click the ‘Under The Hood’ tab and select the ‘Change Proxy Settings’. Select ‘Security’ and click ‘Restricted Sites’ after that you need to double click ‘Sites’ and finally type the address of the site you want to block.

Another option of blocking website is by using commercial software which offers many extra features for internet filtering. Some of them are even capable of blocking sites by keywords, some even block websites by categories. In this case you do not need to look around for the website addresses, you simply need to select the category and the list already exists in the software database. So first you should study the Parental Control feature of Operating System Windows and then try the Website Blocking Feature in your browser. If none of them work out then you need to find the right internet filtering software which will perfectly cover your needs.
